Is it the technology, the cords, or Me that makes things not work?

Some mistakes are not to bad!

Yesterday I made the funniest mistake, at least in my mind.  It took me a little time to figure out what I had done but when I did it was obvious why things were going wrong.

I have to charge up people’s hearing aids before they come to get them.  It only takes a few minutes.  You basically plug in the charger, set the hearing aids in and off they go flashing green.  Super easy…

Until technology goes amuck!  Or is it going amuck?

So I plug the new charging batteries charger into the wall socket and place the batteries into the charger.  Nothing!  I reset the hearing aids in the charger but still no flashing green.  Now what.. Hmmm.  Must be a bad wall plug.  So I move the charger to another plug.  Plug in and well, still nothing.  Then well maybe it is a bad cord.  I switch out the cord.  Still bad.

Now what do I do?  I switched out to yet another wall plug.  Still no power or flashing green light.

When the obvious is too obvious!

I then opened up the battery door.  Wow!  I had forgotten to put the charging batteries into the hearing aids!  Problem solved!

Everyone Makes Mistakes!

If you make mistakes like this it is human.  We have to laugh at our mistakes and yes, learn from them.  I don’t think I will do that mistake again, at least I hope not for now.  Be kind to yourself and others.

Hope your mistakes are easy to figure out.  Cheers,  Kim
